I’m coming out

Hello my freaky darlings, I have something I’ve been wanting to share for a while now...
I am polyamorous/non monogamous.
What does that mean exactly? It means that I have multiple romantic partners/relationships.
Most of you are already aware that I am happily married, but until now I’ve kept much of my love life a secret... I’m not really sure why, fear of judgement I suppose?
I’ve gotten to the point now where I don’t want to keep it a secret, I want to be able to share my happiness and talk about all my partners, and they deserve to not feel like my dirty little secret.

So like I said many of you are already aware of my husband Jay, we have been together for 10 years this April and married for 6, we have been non monogamous for most of that time, I’d say we were perhaps about a year in to our relationship when we first started to talk about it.
We live together of course and we have a 4 year old daughter, he is my absolute best friend in the whole world.
Jay is also currently dating other people

Next up is Carl, we've known each other for ..8? ish years now, we met on okcupid initally but he ended up in a relationship - we remained friends and had always been quite flirty, after his relationship ended we found ourselves talking and flirting more, he was one of the few people who really understood the whole poly situation so it was really good to have someone to talk to about it.
He and Jay are also very good friends which is awesome! Carl came to stay with us for my birthday last year, this is when we became an offical couple. Carl also has another partner.

I have also recently started dating an incredible guy I met on tinder, literally matched within the first 5 mins and we hit it off instantly... so well in fact I almost immediately deleted the app! We went on our first date a little over a week later and have been on many since. He is a big part of why I'm coming out now, hes been so supportive about the whole thing but mostly I just want to be able to openly talk about how much joy he brings me and how happy I am right now. This is his first experience with non-monogamy. He isn’t comfortable with me sharing his name or picture so I’m gonna show you these beautiful flowers that he bought me.

I would also like to add that this isn’t in order of their importance to me, I love each of them fiercely, they all mean the absolute world to me.
It is such a huge relief to no longer be carrying around this big secret and to be able to fully share my life.

Valentine’s Day makeup look

Start with brows and a base

Draw a wing with red liquid liner/lipstick

Fill in the wing and draw some scattered hearts

Pat red eyeshadow over the wing and slightly over the hearts

Pat on a red glitter

Blend some red shadow along the lower lash line and apply mascara

Finish off with lashes

Blood sugar/extreme frost look

First pack the shade coma on to the lid with a flat synthetic brush

Then using a small round brush pack the shade fresh meat in to the crease

With a clean small round brush pack the shade cherry soda just above  fresh meat

Using small circular motions blend the harsh lines between those three shades

With a flat liner brush pack coma on to the lower lash line

Then with the same small round brush you used before blend out coma with cherry soda

Use shade glucose under the brow bone then using your finger pat on extreme frost shade “lick my glit” (or a pink glitter pigment)

Finish off with liner and lashes, I used colourpop creme gel liner in call me and Tatti lashes TL38

Pictorial: blue blood

This is my first look created with the Jeffree Star blue blood palette, my husband bought me blue blood and blood sugar for Christmas 🥰 but I just want to remind people that you do not need expensive makeup to recreate my looks - use what you have! Find colours similar. I’d been creating looks for years with just drugstore makeup, have fun with what you have, don’t feel like you NEED the latest pallet to enjoy makeup.

Take the shade undertaker on a small round dense brush and pat it on just above the crease and round to the outer corner

Using a clean small round dense brush pack on the shade flourishing over the top edge of undertaker

Using very light circular motions blend the harsh line between the two shades

Clean up the lid with a wipe/cotton pad

Cut the crease with concealer or primer (I used the plouise base in rumour) but only go 2/3 of the way across the lid

Using a flat synthetic brush pat the shade cullinan on the first 3rd of the lid

I forgot to picture a step here but next take the shade entitled and pack it on the middle of the lid and blend the edges with cullinan, then pack ocean ice on the outer corner and blend with entitled.

You can definitely skip this step but next I used the stargazer glitter liner  in white  and followed the edge of the cut crease.

Pack undertaker along the lower lash line with a small flat brush  and blend out the edges with  flourishing on the same round brush you used earlier

Finish off with liner and lashes, I used the colourpop cremegel liner in Zulu and Tatti lashes TL38, I also popped a little of the collection 2000 glam crystals in Le Freak on the inner part of my power lash line

*TRIGGER WARNING! Weight loss/ diet*

 ⚠️ WARNING ⚠️

This post will contain diet/weight loss talk, before and after pictures and ED mentions

Back in February this year my life was a little... up in the air I guess. Mum had been fighting cancer and had now just lost her leg!
Husband and I decided (or rather I’d changed my mind) that we wanted another child but I convinced myself I needed to lose some weight first so I went to see my GP.
Now, I was expecting a “sure we’ll refer you to Physiotherapy to increase your activity levels” at best  or “okay eat less move more here’s a leaflet about diabetes” at worst.
I’ve not exactly had the most helpful doctors in the past... but my current GP is great! She had never once mentioned my weight herself. I told her I needed some help to lose weight, that I’d tried so many different things for over a decade but nothing had worked. She said to me “of course you haven’t managed it alone, with being too disabled to exercise enough, having PCOS and medications that cause weight gain you are fighting a losing battle!”
SHE UNDERSTOOD! A HEALTH PROFESSIONAL UNDERSTANDING THAT ITS JUST NOT THAT EASY!!

So, she prescribed me orlistat; orlistat is a medication that prevents your body from absorbing fat from the food that you eat.

She explained to me that this is not just a magic pill, I still had to make some changes to my diet. She straight up said “if you eat too much fat on these you’ll shit yourself without warning, just like walking down the street and you’ll shit yourself” YIKESSS

So I went home and did some research and joined a couple of FB groups for people who take this pill to figure out what I needed to change. Everyone said the best thing to do was stick to 15g or less of fat per meal - 3 meals a day. So I looked at my weekly meal plan and the things I ate on a regular basis to see what I needed to change... as it turned out I didn’t actually have to make any huge changes, just a few little tweaks here and there, things like switching to skimmed milk and low fat butter, baking things instead of frying them. Easy changes.

I think the reason I’ve been able to stick on this “diet” all year is that it hasn’t felt like a diet at all, I still eat all the things I used to, I don’t feel restricted or always hungry, heck I eat chocolate most days!

I did worry going in to this that having to calorie count and keep tract of fat and have constant weigh ins at the doctor was going to be hella triggering for me... I did have a couple of little blips I won’t lie - but for the most part I’ve been okay with it.

So far I have lost 3 stone 6.6 (or 48.6lbs)
I’m not dieting this week because Christmas but I’m actually looking forward to getting back on it Jan 1st.

Christmas makeup pictorial 2

Pack a bright red shadow just above the crease

Blend towards the brow
Cut the crease with white concealer

Pack a bright green shadow on to the lid leaving a line of concealer between the green and red shadow, use a small liner brush with the same concealer to go back in and clean up the line if needed.
Add a large wing with white liner
Using red liquid lipstick add red candy stripes to the white liner - you can use the white liner to try and tidy up any messy lines.
Add stipes with gold glitter liner next to the red.
Next do a smaller wing in black liner
Smudge some black shadow on the outer corner of the lower lashline then smoke out the red.

Finish off with lashes, Green eyeliner on the waterline and highlight the brow bone and inner corner.

Christmas makeup look

As always start with base and brows

Blend a light green shade from crease to brow
intensify with darker green
cut the crease

Add black winged liner

Then gold glitter liner
Blend red shadow along the lower lash line
finish off with liner and lashes
