Laser hair removal

Hello my freaky darlings!

I’ve been lucky enough to have the chance to get 4-6 free sessions of IPL and I would like to share my journey with you and keep you updated on the process and how it’s going/if it works.
I’m having it done on my face - thanks to having PCOS I have a beard that could rival my husbands! I keep on top of it with shaving but it’s a chore and razor bumps are not a good look, especially when you’re trying to create a flawless base with makeup!
I’m excited to see how well it does in minimising my hair growth.

I’ll be having my treatments at Reinkarnation in Ilkeston, I had my consultation and patch test today with the lovely Samantha who explained the process fully and answered any questions I had, she made me feel very comfortable and at ease.
Once I had completed the consent forms Samantha took me upstairs to do the patch test, I laid down on a reclining chair and she covered my eyes with cotton pads and some goggles. First she applied a thick water based gel to the area she would be testing and explained that she was putting my details in to the machine and it would set the intensity based on my skin tone, type and hair type and that the intensity would increase with each session. Three quick zaps later and that was it! The laser doesn’t hurt exactly, it’s a very quick little sting, barely a second of discomfort! The machine blasts cool air too to ease any discomfort.
I’m booked in for my first session on the 25th so I’ll update then and let you all know how it goes!
Now, the scary part... before pictures!

Throw back OOTD: leather harness

So... I had planned a makeup tutorial for today, spent all afternoon doing my makeup and taking pictures (I even made a video this time!) plus taking outfit pictures for a post on Monday, sat down to start editing and writing, put my memory card down and POOF! It’s vanished! Jay and I have torn the house apart and can’t find it anywhere 😭 a whole afternoons work gone.
I wanted to get SOMETHING up today though so I’m doing another throw back outfit.

OOTD: casual/mum goth

Hello my freaky darlings!
Hope you’re all well this afternoon, I’m currently recovering from a nasty sickness bug and still feeling rather delicate, the joys of having a toddler in nursery and an immune system that doesn’t function is that I get every illness going πŸ˜–

When I’m low on spoons but have to get dressed I go for something super simple but still true to my aesthetic, leggings are an absolute must!
I’m currently working on a post for 25 essential items for  a plus size alt girl capsule wardrobe and black leggings are the first on the list!

Top: Amazon size XXL
Cardigan: Amazon Size XXL
Shoes: Amazon  Size 6
I can’t find a link for the necklace I’m afraid and the leggings are from primark, size 20.

OOTD: Dark Fairy

Good afternoon my freaky darlings!

Hope you're all having a wonderful sunday.
I headed out to the local park today to take my daughters 4th birthday portraits... 4th... 4... FOUR! 😱Shes growing up too fast someone please make it stop 😭
The weather was NOT on our side however and we spent a good portion of time huddled in the band stand.
We made the most of it though and managed to take some lovely pictures and since we had a change of clothes for her AJ decided to brave getting all soggy at the playground for a bit before we retreated to the cafe for some shelter and a bite to eat, she had chocolate ice-cream from a local dairy and I had a scone, Lovely!

So anyway, the outfit.
This dress it actually two dresses disguised as one dress.
I love the lace bell sleeves on the first dress but I was feeling a maxi dress today and the lace one hits just above the knee so I threw this lovely floaty maxi on over the top and chucked this funky corset style belt on in the middle.
The flower crown was actually for my daughter as part of her birthday pictures but she wanted to take it off after a while and I decided it actually went quite well with this look, giving it a dark gothic fairy princess vibe.
Sadly I can't link to the lace dress as I got it second hand a few years ago but I did find a bell sleeve lace bolero that would have the same effect that I will link down below.

dispite the rain I think we ended up having a rather lovely day.

Lace Bolero: Amazon
Black Maxi Dress: Aliexpress size 4xl, could of sized down.

Purple & yellow smokey eye pictorial

Hello my freaky darlings! I’ve decided - after many many years of being told I should, to start doing makeup tutorials! I’m not confident enough to do videos (yet) so I’ll be taking you through step by step with pictures. I only used three eyeshadows to create this look and I’ll be using the Jaclyn Hill pallet by morphe but you don’t have to use that specific pallet.

Start with brows and an eyeshadow base, I use makeup revolution brow pomade in graphite and cut crease canvas in halo

Next pack a shimmery/foil purple on the lid, I used royalty from the Jaclyn Hill pallet
Blend in to the crease
Pack on a yellow shade in to the crease, I used "creamsicle" from the Jaclyn Hill pallet

Blend towards the brow and highlight the brow bone, I used “beam” from the Jaclyn Hill pallet
Clean up any fall out and apply your base then blend the yellow shade on the lower lash line
Pack the purple shade closer to the lower lash line and blend the two shades together
Add a winged liner (or don’t! This look is great without liner too)
I used makeup revolution renaissance flick

Finish off with mascara, lashes and purple eyeliner (or black will work too) I used primarks PS Amplif-eyed mascara and 3D iconic lashes and colourpop creme gel liner in “piggy bank”

OOTD: festival season

Hello my freaky darlings!
Okay so I might not actually be going to any festivals this year 😭 but I can still dress for the occasion right?? My last festival was actually sonisphere waaay back in 2014 😱
Oh what I wouldn’t give to be back in a muddy field drinking warm lager for breakfast.
Now I would love to link you to the t-shirt I'm wearing but I got it second hand many many years ago so I'll just link one like it.

Tights: fishnets size xl

The hair clips are unfortunately sold out but they came from PastelDreamShoes on etsy

Throw back OOTD

Hello my freaky darlings!

One of the big reasons behind starting this blog was the constant questions I would get on instagram regarding my outfits, questions like "omg where did you get that top??" "what size do you order from x company" "what is the fit like" and so on.
I'm hoping to post old ootd's from instagram perhaps once a week or so and including more information on them; I'm starting with one of my more resent ones.

I waited over a year for this top to come back in stock on killstar and when I finally got my hands on it I wasn't convinced I liked it on me, it is VERY oversized and comes down past my knees on my 4ft 11 self but determined to make it work I tucked one side into my leggings, its amazing how something so simple can completely transform a look.
I paired it with these wetlook leggings from boohoo which I will link down below however I would not recommend them unless you have access to a sewing machine and know how to use it or have 20" ankles, the fit on these was absolutly rediculous and I had to take the legs in conciderably.

Top: Morte Mistress tunic
Leggings: Plus Matte PU high waisted leggings size 24
Boots: Broom Rider Boots [VELVET]  size 6
Necklace: Silver Tone Triple Goddess Statement Necklace

I’m coming out
